| I am an artist specialising in animal portraits and wildlife paintings in pastel. I have developed a style that is detailed and sensitive, capturing not just the physical likeness but the spirit and personality of my animal subjects. Many of my commissions have been of show dogs, cats and horses, but the majority are working animals and much loved family pets.
I work from photographs, which I prefer to take myself, as it gives me the opportunity to meet the animal and to get an impression of its personality. My years of experience in photographing and painting animals have taught me to recognise the subtle mannerisms that make them such individuals and so special to their owners. I also have a particular interest in country sports. Whether you enjoy horse riding, shooting, fishing etc., I will photograph you and your animals or friends in your favourite setting taking part in your sport. Then in consultation with you I will create a very personal sporting painting. If it is to be a gift I can provide a gift voucher so that the recipient can be involved in the planning of their sporting portrait. Originals and prints are exhibited at my studio. |

Creative Skills are pleased to announce the dates for Open Studio Cornwall 2012:
The event will run from Saturday 2nd June 2012 - Sunday 10th June 2012.
