| This work is an exploration into material and place observing processes of interdependence between water and geological change, seeking appropriate and simple construction methods, by using porcelain with china clay, merging imagination with memory in search of insights. | |

1970-73 BA Ceramics, Manchester Polytechnic, Faculty of Art and Design. Elected to 1977 Crafts Council Selected Index. 1990 International Academy of Ceramics. Awards 1989 1st Inax Design Award, Inax Corporation, Japan – 3 month work and study visit. 1992 X111eme Biennale International de Ceramique d’Art, Vallauris, France. (Winner of Le Prix de l’Association Vallaurienne D’Organisations Culturelles). 1992 Honourable Mention, Mino, Japan, (International Ceramic Competition). 1996 South West Arts Project Award. 1999 Takeo Region Int. Art and Cultural Exchange. 4mth residency, Kyushu, Japan. 2001 1st World Ceramic Biennale, Ichon World Ceramic Center, Korea.Diploma. 2001/2 Arts Council SW Commission Fund, Imerys Minerals Fal Valley china clay pits. 2008 Contemporary Craft Fellowship, Arts Council/Crafts Council/Esmee Fairburn/ Arts Matrix/Devon Guild. 2009 Cornwall Crafts Association Craftsmanship Award. Recent exhibitions include 2003 “Movement in Metaphor”, Kellinghusen Museum. nr.
