Foundry Farm art and craft workshops

Foundry Farm provides fantastic art and craft workshops situated around a cobbled courtyard on the historic Harvey’s Foundry Site in Hayle, Cornwall.

The farm units were sympathetically renovated as part of the regeneration of Harvey’s Foundry a place where the Cornish Revolution in engineering started.

Harvey’s Foundry Trust is a community development organisation who have been for the past ten years turning a derelict and underused foundry site into a vibrant place for people to live, work and relax.

Every effort was made to help preserve the original look and feel of the buildings wherever possible local material’s and traditional building techniques were used such as cob walling, lime rendering, slating, lead work and traditional carpentry.

The scheme was completed in Autumn 2006 and has turned into a quality crafts/arts centre destination which as range of range of artists and craft based business including traditional hand made soap and skincare, painters, sculptors, potters, silversmiths, textile designers, glass fusion artists, photographers, model makes and a children’s clothes designer.

This year we have also opened a gallery at the Farm where tenants can showcase their work for free and are taking part in Cornwall Open Studios.

A number of workshop’s available to rent at Foundry Farm Hayle, providing a range of sizes for reasonable rents starting at £31.00 per week on flexible easy in easy out terms.
